My attempts to be a good boy!!

It was just a few days since my 3rd year classes had started. I was just thinking of sleeping for a bit long since it was the week end. But on that profound morning I was awakened by a call. On seeing the name of the caller, I was stunned. I just thought that I was still sleeping. The caller was a friend of mine who never had the habit of calling me. She was a sort of girl who had whole of her conversations through the text messages. And if she had to speak to me, even if it’s to wish my birthday, she was of the nature of sending me a missed call. I had to call her. But I did that without fail, because she was really helpful in getting my records finished even though it’s on the eve of the examination that I ask her to do it for me.
Hmm.. Back to the point we were discussing..
I just pressed the green button to answer the call and I said “Hello Simi..”.
Yeah. It’s her at the other end.
I asked doubtfully, “Mate, what had happened to you? Are you doing this consciously?”
[I was not serious. She could understand that. Even though I don’t call her very often, she is a good friend of mine. She is the one in whom I can put my trust and she’s really helpful!]
She was speaking as though she was bit annoyed by my question.
“Hum.. If you don’t like me calling you, you just say that. Don’t ask me such stupid questions. OK?? U got my point??”
I said.
“Yes mam’. Thanks for the lecture. Was it for this that you called me?”
You know what? I don’t like people disturbing me while I sleep. I had suffered great difficulty, especially during my 1st year at the hostel. I had a guy called Nirankush Mahanta in my room. He was of the habit of watching movies without earphone at midnight. There were many cases in which he had screwed my nuts. So was another roommate of mine in the same year. He was Sudharshen, a fat Tamil guy. He was of the habit of playing jazz on the bed with a drum stick around 2 o’ clock in the early morning. Since I had these two crazy guys as my roommates in the 1st year, I had learned to adjust a lot and to handle situations with more patience. Even though they had increased my tolerance level, I may lose my temper if a person annoys me while I sleep.
She continued in the same angry mood.
“I had called you for a noble reason. If you are behaving like this, you are not worthy to hear from me.”
This time, I had thought that I had to be cautious. So I thought of having a control over my words.
“Simi, whatz up?? Come on.. Chill!! Why did you call me in this early morning?”
She was still angry over me. She asked “Is this the early morning? It’s 11 o’ clock and its early morning for you, you stupid!”
Girls are like this. For silly reasons, they will catch up the rage and they will speak silly vulgar words that they know. They think that they are reigning over us. But the truth is that, it’s really funny to hear the girls’ speech if they are angry.
I had to accept all that she says right now. Somehow I have to grasp the reason, why she had called me. As I expected, she chilled after sometime.
Yeah. She told “We are having a prayer meeting. It’ll be good, if you could come.”
I said “Wow! I had been looking for such a one for a long time. It’ll be good, if it’s there. Fine when is it?”
She explained me the things and I went for it the next day.
It was fun. The way we introduced each other and the way the time passed..
We learned action song. We sung it. We danced for it. WoW! Superb indeed!
“David ne, Goliath ko, ek pal se maaraa…”
Even though it was the song (I didn’t mean its bad), I really enjoyed it. How good it was as compared to the pop songs of the time.
Hmm.. We had the talk thereafter. Then there was food. Lot of “chechi’maar” were there. I had soon become acquainted with most of them. I had promised them that I won’t miss it another time and had departed with better expectations for the next meeting.
