The
CCD is a cool place to drink coffee. It’s the Café Coffee Day. It’s a
restaurant for the coffee lovers and it's similar to Starbucks in US. This blog is about my views, doubts and
findings about the CCDs.
What
is not clear about CCD to me is why..
- People are looking so oddly at me when they notice that the seat right opposite to me is not occupied by a girl while I take a cappuccino at the CCD.
- I really doubt whether the CCDs are called so because the people spend whole of their day there sipping a glass of coffee.
- I have heard that the grapes are sour if you can’t buy it. But I really wonder why people pay so much for this sour coffee at CCD.
- I don’t want to buy what I like the most from CCD because they say that it’s ‘Devil’s own’!
- I really find it uncomfortable even at my study. And how come an IIT’ian can study with lots of concentration at the CCD?
- Why does people drink too much of coffee from CCD even though they are the ones who usually speak bad of the people like me who takes lots of coffee from home?
- Why do they need CCDs in every floor of Express Avenue (EA) and in most part of Chennai? Is it because the Chennai people are too fond of coffee or is it because the last wish of the Chennai people is to drink one last cup of coffee before they bid adieu to this world?
- I couldn’t find anyone celebrating their birthday at any CCD. Is it because coffee is not meant to celebrate the joy? Or is it because there are sufficient numbers of KFCs in Chennai?
- Why does the government offer too much of subsidy (around 50% to 60%) for the stuffs served at the CCD in IIT Madras? Is it because the intellects over there get some renewed energy upon drinking the coffee?
